A: A software developer is an individual or organization that specializes in creating custom-built software solutions for software buyers. Software developers come to our site looking for
software projects to work on.
Q: What service does My Software Project provide software developers?
A: My Software Project is designed for the sole purpose of helping you find software projects to work on. Here at My Software Project, we know that finding enough projects to work on, as well as
finding software projects of the right size, type, and duration, are factors that are absolutely critical to the success of any individual or company in the competitve business of custom-built
software. My Software Project provides you with a way of "reaching out" to individuals that are already looking for your services (active advertising).
Q: How does the service work for software developers?
A: The process of finding profitable software projects to work on starts with you visiting our website and creating an advertisement (ie: what the software buyer will see when you post on their project page).
After creating an advertisement, you can then search through our collection of project postings based on a number of different criteria (type, size, duration, etc ...) and identify projects that coincide with
your interests and areas of expertise. Once you see a project posting you are interested in, you can then place your advertisement on this project page (costs 1 token). And now, the rest of the process is a breeze. If a
software buyer is interested in further discussing their project with you, one of two things will happen: (a) the buyer will contact you directly based on the contact information supplied in your advertisement, or
(b) if the buyer authorizes us to send you their contact information on their behalf (by clicking on the "Send Contact Info" which they see right beside your advertisement), then you will receive an e-mail from
My Software Project which contains the contact information that the buyer used when signing up at our site. And that's all there is to it! You are now free to carry out discussions with the software buyer outside of
the My Software Project website!
Q: Do I need to have a software developer account in order to create and post advertisements?
A: Yes, you do need to register for a software developer account in order to create and post advertisements. But signing up for a developer account is absolutely FREE and takes only a few moments.
Q: How much do software developers have to pay?
A: Signing up for a free developer account allows you to create advertisements and browse through our enormous collection of software project postings. In order to place your advertisements on the project pages
of software buyers, however, you will need to purchase one of our monthly membership programs: Gold Membership, Silver Membership, or Bronze Membership. Each membership provides you with a certain number of tokens each month.

A:If you’re looking for software projects to tackle, then you need not look any further than My Software Project. My Software Project is a great way to find work for the following reasons:
Q: How do I create an advertisement?
A: If you have already created a software developer account, then you are already ready to begin creating your own personalized advertisements. To create a new advertisement,
simply log in to our website and click the "Create Ad" link under the "My Options" tab. You can alternatively click on the "New Advertisement" link from you account page.
Advertisements are exacly 500 pixels wide by 180 pixels high in size and can contain text and/or html. Advertisements can be edited at any time in the future after they are created.
Q: How can I include images in my advertisement?
A: There are two ways to include images in your advertisements: (a) by specifying an absolute path to the image (in which case you do not need to upload any images to our
server), or (b) by uploading the image to our server and specifying the relative path. The easiest way to include an image in your advertisement is to use absolute path references for any images
in your ad. Referencing images this way allows you to include an unlimited number of images in your advertisement. If for some reason you are unable to use an absolute reference to the image of your
choice (maybe you have the image stored on your computer but you cannot link to it because it is not on any webserver), then it is possible to upload a maximum of three images to our server.
Simply follow the instructions on the advertisement creation page and feel free to preview your advertisement as many times as you want before creating it.
Q: What happens when I create an advertisement?
A: When you create an advertisement, it joins the list of advertisements that you have created (you can view all of these advertisements from your account page). This means that
whenever you try to place an advertisement on a project page, the advertisement that you have just created will now appear in the drop down menu allowing you to select it should you wish to.
Q: How do I post an advertisement on a buyer's project page?
A: Posting an advertisement a buyer's project page is extremely simple. After finding a project that interests you (from the "Find Projects" page), you need only click on the upload button
which appears in the lower left corner of the project summary for each project on the "Find Projects" page (see the "Legend" on the "Find Projects" page if you are unsure about which button to press).
After pressing the upload button, you will be prompted to choose an advertisement to upload. After selecting one of the advertisements you have created, you simply press the "Purchase" button, which
deducts one token from you account and places the selected advertisement on the buyer's project page. The buyer will now see your advertisement when they return to our website and visit their project page.
Q: What are "tokens", and how do I obtain them?
A: Tokens are the currency that you use to purchase advertising space on the project pages of software buyers. Here at My Software Project, you can obtain tokens by signing up for one of our monthly
membership programs which give you a certain number of tokens each month (unused tokens simply carry on to future months).
Q: How do I sign up for a monthly membership at My Software Project?
A: Here at My Softare Project, we offer three subscription-based monthly membership programs: Gold Membership, Silver Membership, and Bronze Membership. In order to sign up for a membership, you will first
need a developer account (signing up for one is FREE!). Once you are logged in to your developer account, you can purchase a membership directly from your account page. If you would like to learn more about our

Q: Is it safe to use my credit card on the My Software Project website?
A: Your privacy and account security is of utmost importance to My Software Project. To ensure the security of your credit card information, the credit card entry and update pages on My Software Project
use 128-bit SSL encryption. Whenever you send your credit card information over the Internet using our website, it will always be encrypted. As a further layer of security, our website uses PayPal, the most trusted payment
processor on the internet, to process all financial transactions.
Q: What happens if I do not use my monthly supply of tokens before the month has ended?
A: If you do not use up your monthly supply of tokens before the month has ended, your remaining balance of tokens is simply carried over into the next month.
Q: What happens if I use up all of my tokens before the month has ended and I need more?
A: If you use up your monthly supply of tokens early, you have to choices: (a) wait until the next refill date in order to obtain more tokens, or (b) if you need more tokens right now, and cannot wait until
the refill date, you may edit your current membership (through your account page) and sign up for a new membership (can even be the same type as your old membership). What will happen is that you will be billed immediately for the new membership you just purchased, but
you will not be billed on the next refill date (or ever again) for your old membership since it has been cancelled. Thus, this procedure can be an effective way for you to refill your account early without incurring any
superfluous charges. Note: If you find yourself refilling early a lot and if you already have our Gold Membership, you should contact our Customer Service department at
support@mysoftwareproject.net. We may be able to design a customized membership plan for your particular situation.
Q: What should I do when I receive a buyer's contact information through e-mail?
A: There are two ways that a buyer may contact you as a software developer: (a) directly using any contact information you have supplied in your advertisement, or (b) indirectly by allowing My Software Project to send you
their information (this happens when they click a button that appears next to your advertisement). If the software buyer chooses to send you their contact information indirectly, you will receive an e-mail from My Software
Project containing their contact information (as well as whether they prefer to be contacted via phone or via e-mail). We encourage you to contact the buyer as soon as possible (using their preferred contact method) in order to get discussions
off on the right foot.
Q: As an advertiser, what kind of results can I expect by advertising my services on My Software Project?
A: This is a very difficult question to answer, because the quality of the results your receive depend on a variety of variables, including: the quality of your advertisements, the quality of your work, the number of other advertisements
on the project pages you're advertising on, and so on. That being said, we have seen some utterly spectacular response rates on My Software Project so far, and we are excited at what our service is accomplishing for the custom-built software industry.

Q: What happens if I post my advertisement on a project page and never hear back from the software buyer?
A: Not getting a reponse back from a particular individual is a risk inherent in the business of advertising. If you find that you are consistently getting lower than expected response rates for your advertisements, we encourage you to try some of
the optimization techniques listed in the next question.
Q: What are some of the techniques I can use to optimize the response rate on my advertisements?
A: As a software developer, there are a few things that you can do to maximize the number of responses that your advertisements generate:
Q: What should I do if I suspect that a software project posting is fake?
A: If you see a software project posting that does not look like it was created by a serious software buyer, first of all you should not post any advertisements for it, and secondly you should contact our Customer Service department
and report the project. When we receive a report about a potentially fraudulent project posting we will thoroughly research the claim. If you have already placed an advertisement on a project page that is found to be fake, you will receive an e-mail
notifying you of this and you will receive your token back.
Q: How do I change my monthly membership plan?
A: On your account page you will see a section entitled "My Memberships" which lists your current active memberships. If you have an active membership, then you will see an "Edit Membership" link below the image of your membership.
Simply click on this link and follow the instructions in order to change your membership plan. Please note that if you intend to pay using credit card, you will be asked to provide your credit card details (even if you have already done so in the past).
When you edit your membership plan you will be billed immediately for the plan you have just signed up for (and receive the tokens immediately) and you will never be billed again for the old membership plan. Thus, editing your membership (even if you select
the exact same membership plan) is a good way to refill your account early if you run out of tokens before the next refill date.
Q: How do I cancel my membership at My Software Project?
A: We value you as a customer and if you’re not 100% certain you want to cancel, we would love to resolve any dissatisfaction. Please go here to contact Member Services or give us a call at 905-616-6533 (9am to 5pm EST, M-F).
